We pulled the trigger and finally decided to participate in the One Room Challenge. We can’t wait to show you our renovation transformation! We chose to do a room upstairs. It was an addition done by the previous owner for their guests to stay when visiting from out of the country.
The room is a pretty good size and takes up the entire second story. Off the stair landing there is a small sauna, the room, a small hallway with a closet and a bathroom. We replaced the door of the sauna with an alder wood and glass door already when we first moved in. It looks more like a sauna now than a closet. The entire second floor had wall-to-wall wallpaper and popcorn ceilings. Those were the first two things to go when we moved in seven years ago. Flash forward to today and seven years later we are finally ready to renovate this room!
